ictor (VJ) Trolio played Division 1 collegiate golf at the University of Southern Mississippi. Trolio served as captain of the team during the ‘96-'97 year and as a senior became the first Golden Eagle to earn a birth into post season play at the '98 NCAA Championship.
After graduation, Trolio turned professional playing the Hooter's, Teardrop, and various other mini-tours across the country. A week after failing to qualify for the second stage of Tour School, Trolio qualified for the Southern Farm Bureau, one of the final tournaments on the PGA Tour's schedule. This week would change his concept of how the game should be played forever.
Rob Noel was Trolio’s first teacher of the golf swing. Before this point in 2000, Trolio had never sought out “intense” instruction on the full swing because of a false belief that too much instruction made golf too complex. Noel introduced Trolio to The Golfing Machine, which has stood as one of the greatest instruction books ever written for the past four decades. In 2001 Trolio received his G.S.E.B., the first Golfing Machine Certification in Mississippi’s history.
For the past three years Trolio has spent most of his life on the back of the range or researching the game of golf. His list of top ranked juniors, various touring professionals, and amateurs continues to grow. In addition, a revolutionary putting aid, The Putting Arc was co-created by Trolio. The device teaches that the proper putting stroke is not “straight back-straight through” in reality, but the putter head should travel on an arc back and through. With the vision of Dave Hamilton and mathematical genius of Joey Hamilton, The Putting Arc is now being used by some 60 PGA, LPGA, Champions Tour, and European Touring Professionals, along with countless top amateurs.
